So, as you may have heard (shouted from the roof tops) Malaren completed
eight years of living and has entered her ninth. The party was horse-themed
and she got a zillion horse books & DVDs, including the classic "Flicka"
(which means "girl" in Swedish) and "Flicka 2: Flicka's Revenge"
I'm kidding. It's not called Flicka's Revenge. But it is a cute sequel.

Malaren got a "horse" for her birthday, a new bike (a big girl's bike) from Jen!

Also, just after her birthday, she sang "Fly Me to the Moon" in the school's talent show.
In fact, she sang it twice. They gave her a microphone that was off so she sang it with no
sound and then they gave her a microphone that was on, so she sang it again.
Hey, c'mon, it's publik school.
